Welcome to the St. Ignatius Loyola Parish CYO website!

The St. Ignatius Loyola CYO is committed to developing healthy minds, bodies, and souls among our parish youth by providing opportunities to grow in their Catholic faith and develop the life of virtue.

The Catholic Youth Organization of St. Ignatius Loyola parish, Sinking Spring, PA. provides extracurricular activities to the youth of the parish. These activities are ordered to further the total human development of our youth as good Catholic Christian men and women and as good citizens of our country.

We believe this development can best be achieved through the integrated program of spiritual, social, cultural, athletic, and service activities. These activities must involve the joint efforts of parents, priests, lay and religious teachers, coaches, and volunteers. Through a total youth ministry concept, the CYO collaborates on all youth-related programs offered by the pasih. The emphasis of CYO is to enable and empower our youth to become responsible participants of our faith community.

ATTENTION COACHES!

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of the Allentown Diocese has decided to make the following changes to the Coaches Clinic format:

1. All new coaches will need to attend a clinic to become certified to coach a CYO team.

2. Coaches must attend a clinic within one year of first appearing on an official roster.

3. Starting in October of 2011, all currently active coaches must become re-certified within two years.

4. Once re-certified, all coaches will need to go through the re-certification every five (5) years.

The CYO board will keep you posted on future classes.

Any individual who wishes to coach or volunteer in any capacity with CYO sports must have a police background check and take the protecting God's children class. Please see the school office for details.
